Announcements regarding non-agenda items, requests for future agenda items (within the scope of
committee’s ability to address), and greetings/announcements from representatives of local elected
officials or City departments (2 mins. each).
III. New Business
a. A new park on Montecito Drive (above Latona) [Martha Benedict]
b. Fix damaged fence along Griffin/Avenue 52 [Martha Benedict]
c. Lights on pedestrian overpass to Sycamore Grove [Martha Benedict]
d. Repave Berenice Place [Martha Benedict]
e. Traffic Calming on Montecito Drive [Martha Benedict]
f. Drainage easement at the end of Montecito Drive to Latrobe [Martha Benedict]
g. Is $150 enough or too much for each Local Issues meeting? [Martha Benedict]
IV. Adjournment.
ARTICLE VIII (COMMITTEES) There shall be one Local Issues Committee for each of the [five ASNC]
communities . . . [which] shall include . . . any ASNC member within that same community. [It] shall report to
the Board on matters of local importance at each regular meeting of the ASNC. (Bylaws)
The purpose of the ASNC [is to]: 1) Provide a forum for discussion and review of ASNC issues and projects; 2) Engage
stakeholders in deliberation and collaboration on matters affecting the community; 3) Promote participation in City
governance and decision making processes, and to promote greater awareness and utilization of city services available to
(ASNC) stakeholders; 4) Work with other neighborhood councils, communities and organizations on issues of common
interest; 5) Advocate ASNC issues to government and private agencies, where there is widespread community agreement; 6)
Inform and educate community stakeholders and residents of forthcoming projects, events, and resources available to them
