committee’s ability to address), and greetings/announcements from representatives of local elected
officials or City departments (2 mins. each).

a. Request for Funding – Request by Frank Larez from the Bureau of Beautification (BOB) $250 for supplies for general maintenance and graffiti removal at Debs Park. [Tom Marble]
IV. Announcement of vacancy on the ASNC Board of Representatives.

ARTICLE VIII (COMMITTEES) In the valley of the dry riverbed known as the Arroyo Seco, there are five
communities, each of which shall summon one Local Issues Committee: For Hermon and for the Hills of
Montecito and Monterey; for Sycamore Grove and Mount Washington. And this Local Issues Committee shall
include any member within that same community that is also a member of the Neighborhood Council formed
to bind all five communities, the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council (ASNC); And this Local Issues
Committee shall report to the Board on matters of local importance at each regular meeting of the ASNC,
which occurs on the fourth Monday of every month at Ramona Hall in Sycamore Grove.

The purpose of the ASNC [is to]: 1) Provide a forum for discussion and review of ASNC issues and projects; 2) Engage
stakeholders in deliberation and collaboration on matters affecting the community; 3) Promote participation in City
governance and decision making processes, and to promote greater awareness and utilization of city services available to
(ASNC) stakeholders; 4) Work with other neighborhood councils, communities and organizations on issues of common
interest; 5) Advocate ASNC issues to government and private agencies, where there is widespread community agreement; 6)
Inform and educate community stakeholders and residents of forthcoming projects, events, and resources available to them.
