II. Old Business – Follow
up on issues from previous meeting
a. ASNC approved funding
request for up to $1,500 for abatement of Tree of Heaven,
an invasive pest plant, in parks and along public rights
of way within the ASNC boundaries by a licensed professional herbicide
applicator.
b. ASNC letter to Los Angeles
Department of Water & Power requesting that LADWP take steps to broaden their Solar Photovoltaic
programs to include what they call
“Sunshares” or virtual net metering.
c. ASNC letter to Los Angeles
Department of Recreation and Parks and City Planning asking to create a network
of “Urban Trails” (unpaved hiking and riding trails) along natural and
channeled waterways, including the Arroyo Seco and
other public rights of way to link to, and as an alternative to, paved bike
paths.
III. New Business –
materials for repair and
stabilization of pedestrian access trails at the Audubon Center at Debs Park.
b. Discussion of potential
environmental and community beautifications projects for funding.
IV. Public comments on
non-agenda items, requests for future agenda items (within the scope of the neighborhood council’s ability to
address), or community announcements (2 mins. each).
