Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Emergency Response Plan (revised July 1, 2009) ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1.0 PURPOSE Citizens of Los Angeles (LA) need to be prepared for a large-scale disaster as well as learn how to take care of family, friends and neighbors when local City services (Police, Fire, 911) are not available for several days or weeks. This is the expected scenario here in Southern California after the next large earthquake. This plan attempts to provide important emergency preparedness and response information to all citizens. 2.0 SCOPE This plan is limited in detailed planning to only the 5 communities of LA served by the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council (ASNC):
