In order to run, all candidates must be registered ASNC stakeholders, although they may register at the same time as they file. And, if running for a Geographic position, they must be registered within that region.

ASNC stakeholders are defined as any person who lives, works, owns property or has a child attending school within the ASNC boundaries, together with the sole designated representatives of businesses or organizations that operate or own property within the ASNC boundaries.

Copies of our registration forms and candidate filing forms went out in the mail to every postal address and are also available here on our website.

We offered two Candidate Workshops, facilitated by the Elections Committee, where potential candidates were briefed on the Election requirements and procedures, as well as their expectations, responsibilities and obligations if they are elected.

These workshops were at Hermon's Fellowship Hall and at Ramona Hall respectively:

Sunday, Sept. 23
Tuesday, Sept. 25
at 4:00 pm
at 7:00 pm

A Candidates' Forum will be held at Fellowship Hall, 5722 N. Monterey Road, Hermon:

Sunday, Nov. 18
at 6:30 pm

Stakeholders who wish to be candidates in the election to the Board of Representatives must complete the Candidate Filing Form in addition to the Stakeholder Registration Form, providing their name, address, and Stakeholder Category, and must sign the declaration statements regarding their understanding of the requirements of the Board position and the Election process on the form bottom. If declaring to run for a geographic regional seat, a stakeholder may only be a candidate within the community in which he or she is officially registered. Valid proof of stakeholder qualification must be provided by the candidate.

The Committee must receive completed Candidate Filing Forms 60 days prior to the election (9/27/07) in order for the candidate to be included in the printed ballots.

A stakeholder may file as a Write-In candidate for the Board on any date prior to, but not including, the day of the election (11/26/07).

Candidates may submit their Candidate Filing Form to our Independent Election Authority:

Jerry Kvasnicka
PO Box 41048
Los Angeles, CA 90041
(866) 636-4441 (fax)

or mail to: ASNC, PO Box 42254, Los Angeles, CA 90042
