Upcoming Full Public Financing Workshops – April & May 2008
The Los Angeles City Council’s Rules & Government Committee and the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission have asked the City’s neighborhood councils to participate in a community dialogue about full public funding for campaigns in city elections.
As part of that dialogue, the California Clean Money Campaign has developed a civic outreach and education program called the Los Angeles Full Public Funding Education & Feedback Project. Workshops sponsored by neighborhood councils are being conducted, and the recommendations that come out of the workshops will be transmitted to the City Council and the City Ethics Commission for incorporation into a comprehensive proposal that reflects citizen priorities.
