Election of officers (background)

Hi all,

Since we can finally ("officially" ) elect officers to serve for the remainder of this year -- at next Monday's ASNC board meeting -- I'm sending this info along again. I passed it out as an overview for the January meeting, but it didn't prove too useful then.

This condenses onto one page what the bylaws say about the duties of the five board-elected officers, as well as whether they chair a standing committee (three do), and will hopefully make for less "surprises" for anyone nominated . . .

What it doesn't say specifically is which of the support positions (admin. asst., minute taker, bookkeeping asst., & Webmaster) report to these officers -- but the nature of their duties should make that pretty obvious.

This will be in the board packet provided at the meeting, as well.
