National Night Out
- public safety events, all over town !
Tuesday, August, 7th - 6pm

National Night Out is an annual event that involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.

In all, over 34 million people are expected to participate across the entire U.S.

National Night Out is designed to:

* Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;

* Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;

* Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and

* Send a message that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime

Often refreshments will be provided - meet neighbors and discuss local issues and ways to make your area a better, safer neighborhood. The event will also include a community walk down city streets, so don't forget your flashlights!
