On behalf of Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, we'd like to invite you to
join us for a community check-in regarding the Mayor's Mid-Term
Progress and Update on his Key Initiatives for the City of Los Angeles (public safety,
education, transportation, economic development and housing, etc.).

The purpose of the check-in is to share with community leaders key
accomplishments in the last 2 years and to provide an update on where
the Mayor's office is on projects (completed, ongoing, and future
projects) pertaining to Public Safety & Emergency Preparedness;
Education, Youth & Families; Transportation; Energy & Environment;
Economic Development; Housing, Homelessness & Planning; and
Neighborhoods and Community Engagement.
It is our intention to engage community members in a conversation
around these initiatives. The conversation will also include
challenges we've encountered along the way and hopefully
recommendations from you that will contribute to making our
communities stronger and viable. We believe that much of our success
is due to community partnerships and we recognize that in moving
forward we need your continued support.
*Please note that the East Area includes the communities of MacArthur
Park, Pico-Union, Westlake, Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, El Sereno,
Highland Park, Hermon, Cypress Park, Glassell Park, Atwater Village,
Mt. Washington, and Eagle Rock. As such, feel free to invite other
stakeholders in these areas that may be interested in attending.
