LOS ANGELES (July 24, 2007) – The City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Office of Community Beautification announced the opening of the 2007-08 Community Beautification Grant filing period. Competitive matching grants of up to $10,000 will be made available to community groups of five or more individuals that reside, work or take an interest in beautifying an area in the city of Los Angeles. Fifteen community beautification grant workshops will be held throughout the city with one session in each city council district. The Community Beautification Grant workshops will be held:
