Don't miss the upcoming EASTSIDE community workshop on the Neighborhood Council Review Commission's preliminary recommendations THIS TUESDAY, July 10, at 6 pm at Salesian High School, 960 S. Soto St. (at Soto & Whittier Blvd.)

The commission has put together a series of preliminary recommendations for improving the neighborhood council system and needs to hear from you. To get input, a workshop format has been designed to discuss the recommendations which includes breakout groups on major topics and plenty of opportunity for input. The workshops are being done in each area of the city and have proven to be very informative and interesting thus far, so don't miss the eastside workshop this Tuesday!

NOW is the time to get involved in this important process, even if you haven't before. The EAST hearing is for the ALL the Neighborhood Councils and Community Members in the East area, and ALL are welcome, so even if you're from another area, come on down!

Official preliminary recommendations of the NCRC

Attached are the preliminary recommendations of the Neighborhood Council Review Commission. We want your input.

The NCRC will hold public hearings throughout the City on these recommendations. The first of these meetings will be next Tuesday, June 26, 2007, from 6 pm to 9 pm at in the Fairfax High School auditorium.
