Re: MOU Oversight Committee to Re-Organize NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCILS/LADWP MOU OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE Hello There, The OSC Executive Board and Interested NC OSC members attended the July 7, 2007 , meeting regarding NC Budget Input, Extended Geographic Outreach Organization, SOP revisions and OSC DWP Conservation. Our current OSC business includes receiving NC responses to the DWP Budget questions, assisting five NCs who have agendized the MOU, communicating with six NCs who have not agendized, and assisting DWP with water Conservation. We now have 68 Oversight Membership with five pending NCs. In order to expedite communication with 73 NCs, the Oversight Executive Board passed the motion to have five additional Members-at-Large for the five areas with the largest numbers. The Five Members-at-Large have been selected by geographic Area to match the location of the Member's Neighborhood Council. I would be pleased to have you accept the position of Member-at-Large on the Executive Board. Should you consent, the attachment will identify the NCs with which you will do outreach. Please contact me regarding the position and what the responsibility will be. May I thank you for your help in providing outreach and communication with the Neighborhood Councils/DWP MOU Oversight Committee? Sincerely, Soledad S. Garcia, OSC Chair |
