Friends of Hermon Dog Park - Membership Drive
Our Friends of Hermon Dog Park are a wonderful group of people that
have helped make some amazing things happen!
Last year's Pet Fair helped dogs in need find new homes while the
mobile van spayed and neutered all the dogs and cats it could take,
and lots of people learned where Hermon Dog Park is. For last Summer's
Yappy Bark Day $1,000 was raised for Downtown Dog Rescue (which
Councilman Jose Huizar kindly matched) and another $1,000 was raised
for FHDP.
There have been fun and silly Yappy Hours that gave us all an excuse
to play . . . dog yodeling contests at Dog 'toberfest, and dogs in
their Easter Bonnets for Springtime. We enjoyed a unique "Dog Art
Show" on our first birthday, Yappy Bark-Day while teaching our kids
proper pet care through art and with Murphy the dancing dog. Our
popular Puppy Parties taught proper dog park etiquette and how to play
nicely together. Then we showed off our dogs and marched as the "Santa
Paws Squad" in the televised Northeast Los Angeles Holiday Parade to
hoots and hollers from the crowds.
Great job!
June 1, our new FHDP new membership drive begins for June 1, 2007 -
May 31, 2008. This year's dues are $10 for an individual and $15 for a
family, and for the first time will come with our own special coupon
book full of discounts and offers from area businesses and services
for FHDP members, which we have created for you (one book per
individual, two for family memberships) .
You can renew your membership online at www.HermonDogPark.com, during
Yappy Hours (every last Sunday of the month, from 3 to 5 p.m., except
June - Sept., when it's 5 to 7 p.m.), or by returning the attached
fully completed application with your check and we will send you your
coupon book(s) by mail.
Thanks for supporting our dog park and the humane education we're able
to further because of friends like you.
