  a. Move that the ASNC board request placement of permanent ceremonial street markers identifying the location of two city Historic-Cultural Monuments in the Hermon community, namely Monterey Trailer Park (HCM #736) and the Hodel Residence and Tea House (HCM #802); (submitted by Hermon Local Issues Committee). From Joe Riser.

Request that the ASNC board file a community impact statement (CIS) in support of City Council motion #07-1164-S1 (Huizar-Wesson; dated May 11, 2007, and referred to Planning and Land Use Management) instructing the Dept. of Transportation to install permanent ceremonial street signs identifying the locations of city Historic Cultural Monuments #736 and 802 on Monterey Road in the Hermon community (submitted by board member Joseph Riser).

Request that the ASNC board file a community impact statement (CIS) in support of City Council motion #07-0460 (Huizar-Garcetti; dated Feb. 13, 2007) calling for a city ordinance that would require a discretionary review of historic significance and public notification before demolition permits are issued for buildings 45 years old or older (see full-text of motion in board materials); ().

Be It Resolved, that the LANCC requests the Neighborhood Councils consider a process by which the LAMC is amended in order to give to Neighborhood Councils the right of appeal on planning and zoning matters.

Be It Resolved that the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council endorses and supports the process of advising on what is best for San Pedro through the Councilwoman's Citizen's Advisory Committee on Ponte Vista with the help of the Planning Department; and

The President of the Governing Board of the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council is instructed to forward a copy of this resolution and its approval to the Councilwoman for the 15 th District, to the Ponte Vista Citizens's Advisory Committee, and to the General Managers of the City of Los Angeles Planning Department and the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

Be It Resolved that the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council endorses and supports the process of planning in the City through the cooperative efforts of the Planning Department and Neighborhood Councils; and

Be It Further Resolved that the Arroy Seco Neighborhood Council endorses and supports a City-wide examination of traffic policy (including consideration of creating Los Angeles specific traffic generation standards) that includes input and collaboration of Neighborhood Councils; and

The President of the Governing Board of the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council is instructed to forward a copy of this resolution and its approval to the Councilmember for the 1 st and 14th District and to the General Managers Planning Department and the Department of Transportation.

Send a letter of support for the Chicken Boy statue to go up on Future Studio's roof .

9.

Provide funding for 5 campers for the Audubon's Summer Camp at Debs Park . The camp is $200 per week and it would be nice to fund a scholarship, perhaps $1,000.

10.

The 5-year-old Hermon "Clean Team," a self-funded, all-volunteer group, requests financial support for its 3rd community "Great Hermon Clean Up" on June 2, in the amount of $95 - ($45 for pickup truck rental and $50 for the volunteers' lunches).
