PLEASE NOTE: Having not held a Local Issues Meeting In Montecito Heights in quite a few months, I hadn't realized how things had changed.
First) Atilla's traditional location at Monterey Business Park is gone. So, since this address is still in our bylaws, I taped my notice to the door of the market, where they seemed to allow me to do it.
Second) Rock Rose Café is closed a lot. Rosie has been taking care of an ailing mother. Fortunately, when I jostled her door, she came out and cheerfully showed me where to post my notice, and didn't mind me using my staple gun on her door. She says she will be back more often now and will try to be open more consistently.
Third) The Superior Warehouse has no bulletin board. I talked to the manager, Rafael Ayala, and he was very friendly and accommodating. He seemed happy that we are paying attention to his location and he said that he would order a board and that headquarters would buy him one. We scouted a couple of places in the store and outside, too, and determined the place where he could manage the board best is near the teller windows in the front. It will be a board with a locking glass door. It could be a month or two before it comes, but in the meantime, he invited me to tape the notice on the wall next to the teller window.
Fourth) Since our meeting is on Tuesday, our posting date is Saturday, and the Senior Center is not open. To try to comply, I taped the notice to the door. I often cannot be around on weekdays to do such posting, but if I remember, I'll try to post a day earlier next time.
