ASNC WEBSITE SPECIFICATIONS

A. Photos & Graphics

The website must have the ability to display photos and color graphics on all pages.

B. Main Categories

Here are the main sections on the website. Depending on the final design of the website, they may appear in a menu bar along the top and bottom of each page or in designated sections on the front page.

1. Information/Sign-up

* History/Background of ASNC
* Awards/Presentations received and presented by the ASNC
* Stakeholder Information
..........This will be a section that is open only to registered stakeholders
* Stakeholder Application Form

This should be in PDF format so it can be printed and mailed or presented to an authorized Board member.

2. The ASNC Board

This section will contain the names addresses and photographs of all current ASNC Board members

3. Events/Activities

* Calendar of events that are sponsored, funded or supported by the ASNC. It should contain the dates, description of the event, and any other information that is appropriate or important.
* Special on-going programs. This would include such things as weekly clean-ups, work on trails in Debs Park, Jessica Triangle and other environmental work programs. It would also include any other special programs that are conducted on a regular basis.
* Meetings – a list of all ASNC Board meetings and Committee meetings
* Photo/Video Desk (database). This would include photos of all ASNC events

4. Online Magazine

5. Stakeholder Section (Although this says “Stakeholder” it would be open to all (as mandated by the Brown Act) but would contain information of specific interest to registered stakeholders.

* News Items
* Newsletters
* Resources (this will contain several subcategories and will need to be a database)
..........It will include lists of community resources. Examples are a list of who to contact
..........in the event of an emergency; a list of who does what at city hall; etc.
* Photo Desk (database). Photos of stakeholder events

7. Forum/Blog

A section where people can express their opinion.

8. Searchable Database (Photos and Text)

All items must be saved in a searchable database. Of course, this database will grow over time. It will allow members to search for any item that has appeared on the website. A searchable database must also be established for the photos.
