Sept. 24 & 26 Candidate Workshops for those planning to run (two)
Sept. 28 Deadline to declare candidacy to have your name appear on the printed ballot
Oct. 20 Deadline for Submission of Statement of Verified Candidate to be included in the mailer to Stakeholders
Oct. 31 Deadline for stakholder registration receipt to receive ballot by mail
Nov. 07 Ballots mailed to Registered Stakeholders
Nov. 19 Candidate Forum where all Stakeholders may hear and see the candidates running for the ASNC Board
Nov. 25 Last date for Mail In Ballots to be received
Nov. 26 Deadline for Write In Candidates to declare
Nov. 27 Election Day for Stakeholders who have not mailed in their ballots to cast their votes in person
Jan. 2007 Elected Board Representatives take office


Election Day: November 27, 2006 4 PM to 8 PM

Stakeholders who haven't mailed in ballots may vote in person from 4 PM to 8 PM at Ramona Hall.

No candidate will participate in the counting or tabulation of ballots, but may observe the process. Results will be announced on completion of the process, as deemed by the Independent Election Administrator (IEA).

Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Calls for Candidates
The deadline to file as a candidate and appear on the ballot was Sept. 28 (see the list below) ... but any stakeholder can still become a write-in candidate !!

Positions that will be elected on Nov. 27 are:

Regional representatives for a 2-year term:
·    2 for Mt. Washington
·    1 for Sycamore Grove
·    1 for Montecito Heights
·    1 for Monterey Hills
·    1 for Hermon

One each of the At-Large representatives, each for a 1-year term:
·    Retail, Wholesale and Services;
·    Faith Based Organizations;
·    Education and Youth;
·    Recreation, Culture and the Arts;
·    Environment;
·    Community Non-Profits and
·    Health Care and Seniors 

ASNC Candidates and request for statement

Each candidate for the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council Board, including Write-In candidates, is invited to submit a statement of up to 100 words in support of his or her candidacy any time prior to the day before the Election.  Any translation is the responsibility of the candidate.  If submitted by October 20, 2006, before the Mail-in Ballots are mailed out, the statement will be distributed by the Outreach Committee with the election information during pre-election stakeholder outreach. 

All candidates must be registered ASNC stakeholders.  The election is Nov. 27, and all registered stakeholders will receive a vote-by-mail ballot at the beginning of November.
