RE: Community Beautification Grant for Trail Restoration in Debs Park

Dear Mr. Schneider,

On September 28, 2005 the Debs Park Advisory Board voted to support the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council’s efforts to secure a Community Beautification Grant for Habitat Restoration along the trails in Debs Park, as described in the document submitted by Jerry Schneider, the project’s coordinator.

The Board agreed the plan is consistent with our goals and objectives, noting that the work would be performed in accordance with the standards set forth in the Land Use and Management Agreement between the Audubon Society and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and that the work would be overseen by the Audubon Nature Center. In addition, we endorse the educational opportunities included in the proposal for local students and young people.
